Glucose Guard is a powerful blend of organic Ayurvedic herbs with the unique ability to strengthen and support the body's healthy response to blood sugar.  These are gymnema, neem, and holy basil, also known as Tulsi.

Gymnema leaf, also known as gurmar or shardunika in Ayurveda, literally means “sugar destroyer”. It has been used successfully and safely in India for more than 2,000 years. Exciting research has been done on this unique herb confirming its effects on blood sugar as well as a host of other health-supporting actions.  Studies indicate that gymnemic acid, similar in chemical structure to glucose, binds to glucose receptor locations on the taste buds and intestines, preventing adsorption of glucose and corresponding blood sugar rise. This may explain why chewing the leaves blocks the sweet taste on the tongue, reducing the appeal of sugar. Gymnema is widely used today and popularly accepted as a safe and effective in supporting healthy blood sugar levels. Still, those on medication should monitor their blood glucose levels to avoid a hypoglemic effect.

Neem leaf, one of the most bitter herbs there is, has traditionally been used in Ayurveda to for multiple purposes, to improve digestion, detoxify the liver and support the immune system. It’s antimicrobial activity makes it ideal in supporting healthy skin. However, one of its most well-known actions is to help maintain healthy blood glucose levels.

Holy Basil, also known as Tulsi, is a highly revered herb in India and considered sacred due to its anti-stress action and extensive healing properties. It potentiates the supportive action of gymnema and neem.
